About Lionel Richie & Diana Ross
Lionel Richie’s first taste of success came as the lead saxophonist and singer for the Commodores touring with none other than the Jackson Five and releasing a string of hit records. It soon became apparent, however, that Lionel Ritchie’s talent was too much for any one band as he began writing and producing for other acts such as Kenny Rogers and most notably Diana Ross. It was the international success of this latter collaboration that gave Lionel Ritchie the push he needed to start his solo career and he has since sold in excess of 100 million records including such classics as Hello, Truly, Dancing On The Ceiling and All Night Long (All Night).
